I grew up in the tropics, where everyone wears flip flops. Therefore, I never really had any interest in shoes, the trends and styles were uninteresting and irrelevant topics for me, shoes were merely functional to protect your feet from sharp rough terrain, not to look fashionable. When I moved to Europe, I realized there was much thought put into the shoes you wear to go with your outfits. Shoes became less functional, less comfortable, and restricting your foot’s movement. So I made a shoe that represents how I feel when I wear a shoe.
