With the advancements in production and technology, we find ourselves unintentionally contributing to the destruction of our beautiful planet.

The natural world, particularly delicate ecosystems like coral reefs, is suffering from the effects of climate change and global warming. Rising ocean temperatures and acidification are causing widespread coral bleaching and death.

​

In response to this crisis, I designed a concept for coral that has adapted to life in the modern age. Made of iron, this "new coral" symbolizes resilience in the face of environmental challenges. Its form weeps tears of sea glass, representing both the fragility and beauty of life in a changing world.

 

This design serves as a reflection on the consequences of our actions and a call to protect the natural wonders that remain.
